Our collaboration around this project with Mercedes-Benz Türk, a client with a high awareness regarding environmental concerns, involved working together with the Environment unit at Mercedes-Benz Türk Bus production plant in Istanbul’s Hosdere neighborhood. Through our collaboration and in response to issues identified by our environment unit, we implemented a solution-focused creative project whose purpose was to raise awareness and build knowledge on waste sorting among employees.

We transformed a room located on the hallway leading to the cafeteria, thus a strategic location on a route frequently used by the employees, into an environment room. The environment room we designed consists of an educational space with information about waste and an impact area aimed at increasing awareness on issues regarding waste.

The educational space includes a section where detailed information can be found on existing waste bins, labels and colors used in waste management in the office, as well as guidance on waste collection by waste type and waste bins. In the same area is a display with examples of incorrect waste collection observed in waste bins placed in recreational spaces throughout the plant.
